Welcome to Stained Glass Stories!

Hey there! I'm so glad you swung by to get to know a bit about me and the ministry, Stained Glass Stories. I go by Lissa Litka (think Melissa without the “Me”). I wear a few hats—I’m an ordained reverend, a fiction author, non-fiction author, and I've been an international keynote speaker. Life’s a blast with my hilarious husband, Harry, and our crew: three awesome daughters, two sons-in-love, and two adorable granddaughters who know me as Oma. Home sweet home for us is Kokomo, Indiana, where I grew up and where we reside with our feline friend, Mabel.

I’m all about diving into stories, crafting community-focused lessons, belting out Broadway tunes, catching up with loved ones, or jotting down sermons.

I get to lead a sweet church in a small countryside town. This church? It’s been a family treasure for almost two hundred years and where my heart started dancing for Jesus, family hugs, and singing. It's where I sang along to Mom’s piano notes and bopped along to Grandma’s organ tunes. I loved heading off to my grandparents' farm where Pop filled my heart with stories. Those moments? They're a big part of why I am who I am!

My life’s been a bit of a bumpy ride, too. Not unlike those twisty-turny roller coasters! I’ve had my share of tough moments—an abusive relationship, health diagnoses, and feeling the sting of loss. It's not all been a fairytale, but it is my story. These bits? They’re like the colorful panes in my stained glass window, shaping the me you see today. From challenges to wins, heartaches to high-fives, and even the regular daily routine stuff—these bits are the things that make us who we are

I’m all about bringing folks together and helping them discover their sparkle through stories—Christ’s tales, Bible folks, personal narratives, family sagas, and, of course, my own story! I firmly believe every soul’s got a tale to tell, and by really listening and sharing, we uncover our purpose and embrace a richer, more vibrant life. That’s the magic behind “Stained Glass Stories”—a cozy corner where folks gather to explore God, uncover their mission, share their stories, and help grow His Kingdom!

When we dive into the victories and mistakes, the happy dances and "oh no!" moments that colored the pages of the Bible, something magical happens—we see bits of ourselves in those tales. It's like finding a secret treasure! God takes us regular folks, dealing with things like worry, stress, self-esteem, body image, anger, and tough times, and turns us into storytellers of His grand plan. How cool is that? It's all wrapped up in cozy hangouts, fun retreats, online gatherings,, podcasts, vids, and nifty guides to walk you through each and every amazing story!
